A variety of designs, decorating, cooking tips were part of the course. If there is enough in- terest another course can be scheduled. CHINESE COOKING - The latest information on this course that it will be held in late March or early April. There have been no fees establish -ed. MWe have fifteen names and have a waiting list of people in case of cancellations. WEAVING - Revised dates are April 10th - 14th inclusive. Again, no registration fees established, twelve people are needed to begin the course. : NORTH SHORE BRIDGE CLUB - On Sunday, February 19th, twelve couples turned out to play bridge. The results are: Pat Gillen - K. Heckley placed first, L. Fraser - S. Zydarewicz were second, Mr. N. Wallace - Mrs. H. Wallace third, in fourth place R. Mikkonen - B, Wise, and B. McLaughlin - M, Christie in fifth place. Bridge takes place each Sunday at 7:30 p.m. in the lower hall of the Schrei- ber Town Hall. g NORTH SHORE JUNIOR HOCKEY - North Star next home game will be Thursday, March 2nd at 8:30 p.m. RINGETTE - : Over the Feb. 18th weekend the Schreiber Ringette team host- ed Red Rock in a series of weekend games. Although all were in a losing cause the valuable experience can only aid the girls. ARENA UPDATE - Council, recreation committee members met with four contrac- tors last week to hear the different opinions on buildings, any reductions in cost, general clarification of prints. Council will make a decision who will be awarded the job once, the bids less reductions are firm. The fund raising to date is: Cash $11,000.00; Pledges $19,790.00; Payroll deduction $40,790.
