FEBRUARY 15, 1978 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE 5 AUXILIARY TO HOSPITAL MEETING The Auxiliary to the McCausland Hospital met on January 16 at St. Martin School. President Norma Crockford welcomed everyone and proceeded with business. . Christine Handy, our representative on the Hospital Board, informed us of the change in the fiscal year to April 1 and passed on the request from the Board that the Auxiliary change their fiscal year accordingly. This was approved by the Auxiliary and the Constitution will be amended. The reports from the Treasurer (Helen Croll) and the Tuck Shop Convenor (Marg Gander) were approved and passed by the Auxiliary. New wooden toys are now being sold from the Tuck Shop and are already selling well. C. Handy also displayed a mobile made from wooden blocks which might be a possible project. She also announced that the Board has purchased an artists! rendering of the new McCausland Hospital. It may be seen now in the hospital waiting room. Membership is now complete with a total of 620 sold. The next meeting of the Auxiliary will be held in Schreiber on Feb. 20th at 8:00 p.m. ~ New business to be discussed will be the Tuck Shop - services and hours and the Annual Hospital Ball. On February 9th, the Terrace Bay Fire Department Junior Volleyball team 'travelled to Schreiber to play the Schreiber Fire Department All Stars. €ven though subjected to harassment from the Schreiber Chief and the home town official, the © Juniors conducted themselves in a very sportsmanlike manner, which reflected credit to their Department. Although the Jun- iors were narrowly defeated a rematch will be held in the very near future with Terrace Bay's first string line-up. Dick Moher Deputy-Chief, T.B.F.D. LOG SAWING BIG SUCCESS The Legion Log Sawing Contest was a big success last \ Saturday and everyone seemed to enjoy it. The stew supper was a smash hit.
