Mrs. Slater reported for the C.P.T. Humanitarian Committee meeting held on January 15th. Routine business was dealt with and a case in need of help was approved. Mrs. Norma Fummerton will convene a Valentine party following the next meetings Members are to make valentine's at home and prizes will be given for the best effort. There will also be a 'touch and take! table, Members are to price their parcels. The quick action of three men - Mike Racioppi, Melvin Madge and Bill Souliere who, when driving past the house noticed the flames and managed to rouse the sleeping familys Gilbert Gaudet, his wife and three children escaped injury but! the Schreiber Fire Department was not able to save any of the structure. REPORTABLE ACCIDENT AMOUNT INCREASED The Ministry of Transportation and Communications reminds motorists that the amount of property damage in a reportable motor vehicle accident has been raised from $200, to $400,, effective January 1, 1978. This amount reflects more realistically the continually increasing costs for parts and labour to repair motor vehicles involved in accidents. Motorists are further reminded that if they are driving a motor vehicle or moped and involved in an accident which results in personal injury or damage apparently exceeding $400, they must report the accident to the police.
