TERRACE BAY POLICE DEPARTMENT 16 JANUARY 1978: 3 During the past week, members of the Terrace Bay Police Force were called upon to investi- gate fifteen occurrences. 3 One motor vehicle collision was invescigneg ed on January 9th with only minor damage re- ported to both vehicles. A Two motorists were charged with speeding in i the Township, one motorist was charged without = having a valid plate on his vehicle. 5 One out of town driver was found passed out in his vehicle and charged with impaired driv- 3 ing as well as failing to provide a sample of gE. breath. This person has been remanded in ic) tody to the District Jail in Thunder Bay as £ two warrants for impaired driving have been is= sued by other police forces. : Three persons have been charged with con- 4 suming liquor while under the age of 18 years, = one person charged with supplying liquor to ~ i minors and one person charged with having the care and control of a vehicle with liquor read -ily available. 4 It is now an offence to possess a radar warning device in a vehicle. Any person having such a device must remove it immediately or they will be liable to a fine and confiscation of the device. Members of the Terrace Bay Police will be conducting periodic spot checks in an effort to enforce the seat belt legislation. Wear your seat belt.
