NOVEMBER 30, 1977 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE 19 O'BRIEN: The: funeral Mass of the late Thomas Patrick O'Brien, age 33, whose death after a long ill- ness, occurred in hospital on November 18, 1977 was conducted on November 21, in Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church by Father F.J. Meyer in Schreiber. The honorary pall bearers were: Harry Dug- gan, Elton Fummerton, George Scott, Albert Costa, Frank Driscoll and Gino Caccamo. Active pall bearers were: Ronald Fummerton, Lorne McBride, Michael McGuire, Stanley Spad- oni, Lloyd Moore, William Mullins. Interment was in Schreiber cemetery. Mr. O'Brien was predeceased by his mother in 1973 and his father in 1975. His immediate survivors are one bEoiher, Russell of Cochenour and five sisters - Carol, Mrs. D'Arcy McDonald of Markstay; Catherine, Mrs. Norman Lemieux, Schreiber; Lenore, Mrs. Brian Duncan, Wawa, Sharon, Mrs. Sten Lif, Cochenour and Mary Lynne of Sault Ste. Marie; many other relatives in this area and in the east. Among those attending the funeral, from out of town were: Russell O'Brien, Mr. and Mrs. Sten Lif and family of Cochenour; Mr. and Mrs. D'Arcy McDonald, Markstay; Mr. and KINSMEN CLUB OF SCHREIBER INC. WILL BE HOLDING A »PEANUT BLITZ« THURS, DEC 1 AND FRI. DEC 2 7 P.M, ji 10 P.M. DOOR TO DOOR CANVAS If you should be out either of those evenings you can drop into St. John's Anglican Church basement to stock up with peanuts for Christmas from the Kinsmen. Mrs. Brian Duncah, Wawa; Mary Lynne O'Brien Sault Ste. Marie; Mr. and Mrs. Lorne McBride and family of Terrace Bay; Mr. and Mrs. Pat- rick Leisander, Rossport. Mr. O'Brien was born and lived in Schreiber all his life and was a long-time employee of the Costa Firm. Although his frail physical health prevented him from being active in sports, -he was an ardent supporter, especially in hockey. He was the teams' driver for many years and frequently paid the cost, when the team's funds were low. Although he was always called "Trapper no one remembers the origin of the nickname, but his courage "during his. long illness will never be forgotten. CHIMO CLUB: Continued from pg. 18 ....
