Mrs. Annie Niemi reported sending cards and flowers to Mrs. Victoria Winters in Ter- race Bay hospital and receiving a thank you note from Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Miller. Mrs. Winnie Clemens read an interesting re- port of the Area coming, listing the new of- ficers for 1977-78, with Mrs. R.I. Skene as President and Mrs. H.E. Pateman as secretary- ~ treasurer, both of Oxdrift. Plans were made for a bake sale on November 10th at 2 p.m. in the Bay store. Members were asked to donate at least two baked items, with Anne Todesco, presiding at the October the price attached. ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION BR. 109: > The Ladies Auxiliary to the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 109, Schreiber, voted to respond to the appeal for support for the Grace Remus Scanner fund and will give $500.00 - the Branch will give an equal amount, bringing the donation to one thousand dollars.
