'§ WEEKLY REPORT YOUTH BASKETBALL PROGRAMME : Special registration forms have been cirdul- ated through the schools regarding a Youth Basketball programme which will be held on Sat-{ urday mornings. All details concerning the Youth Basketball programme may be found on the registration form. This programme is designed for elementary students 9 years of age and over and this is a co-recreational programme. It is important to point out that there is a consent form that must be signed by the par- ent or guardian of the child enrolled. Inter=- ested students must register with the Recrea- tion Office by this Thursday, October 6th. MEN'S BASKETBALL: The Terrace Bay Recreation Department has made arrangements with St. Martin's School for the use of the school on"Tuesday and Thursday : evenings to accommodate a Men's Basketball lea- gue. Sessions will be held from 7:00 to 9:15 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This is a drop -in programme and for further information sim- ply call the Recreation Office at 3542. This programme will get underway this Thursday, October 6th. JUNIOR BADMINTON PROGRAMME: The Lake Superior Board of Education will a-- gain be offering a Junior Badminton programme on Saturday mornings for elementary students in grades 7 and 8. Anyone who would be interes +ted in registering for this programme may drop down to the Recreation Office during office hours. Registrations will be accepted up until Friday, October 7th. The registration fee for the Junior Badminton programme for the 20-hour course will be $5.00. RED CROSS AND ROYAL LIFE SWIM BADGES AT RECREA- TION OFFICE: Swimmers who passed either the Red Cross or Royal Life Saving tests this summer should drop down to the Recreation Office to pick up their badges. NUTRITION AND HEALTH SEMINAR: The Terrace Bay Recreatien Department is pleased to announce that a 6-hour nutrition and health seminar will be offered to anyone inter- ested. Please refer to page 10 for details con -cerning this special seminar. Mr. Ed Kenney will be the resource person and the cost of the seminar will be $10.00 per person.
