Mr. Charr stated that the lakes in the area have been fished out and the local people have lost a lot of their recrea- . tion because of this. The Honourable Frank Miller, Minister of " Lands and Forests agreed to give the matter , consideration and will respond to Mr. Charr very shortly. Mr. Miller advised Mr. Charr that more land use permits will definitely be continuously pressed his department to follow this practice. In addition Mr. Charr has requested more grants towards the Schreiber Recreation Com- plex. "Our costs of construction are very much higher in the North then they are in Southern Ontario and yet we get the same grants" said Mr. Charr. "This is ridiculous, we should have at least another 25% more in such grants or even a 100% subsidy. Recrea- tion in the North is a necessity not a luxury" he concluded. If elected he stressed that he will work towards this part of his programme for Terrace Bay and surrounding area. ] 2 a a 0 ho NA FEAR PRESERVE FORESTS COMNE CINEMA TERRACE BAY = ONTARIO - TELEPHONE 825-3771 NEW SUMMER HOURS Sunday to Thursday -- 8.30 p.m. Friday & Saturday --7 & 9 p.m. Thurs- Fri-Sat THIS YEAR ITIS.. rom Beyond The Grave Sunday - Monday June 9-10-11 June 12-13 Adour ..
