MAY 26, 1977 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE 5 NOTES FROM YOUR HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY: Cont'd FERTILIZER: As there Lave been several en- quiries about fertilizer the Directors will look into re-starting this service. GARDEN EQUIPMENT: The Society will investi- gate prices and proposes to buy smaller items of equipment such as fertilizer spreaders, sprayers, aereators, etc. for use of the mem- bership on a free loan basis. FLOWER SHOW: This has been discussed at several Directors' Meetings and was brought up at the Spring Meeting. In view of seeming lack] of interest and the extremely poor response to the Junior Show last year the show will not be held this year and there will not be a Junior Garden programme. The Directors would like the opinion of the membership on this subject. Last year we had 325 members. Fifteen members only attended the Spring Meeting where this question was put before the membership. We "would like to thank Mrs. Annette Campbell, who, assisted by Mrs. Mary Martinson, gave an inter- 'esting talk on Terranium and house plants with "a display of both Terranium and open arrange- ments.
