Eleven members were present. The Minutes of the last Regular Board Meeting - April 5, I977 were accepted as corrected. Minutes of the 'Executive Committee were reviewed. The I-Vac donated by the Lakehead Shriner's Club has been purchased and the Doptone Monitor will also be bought on receipt of the quotations from various companies, on behalf of the Club. ; (An I-Vac is a machine that automatically regulates the intra-venus drip. A Doptone Moni- tor separates all other sounds from the fetal heart beat and at the same time magnifies the fetal heart beat). ) = hig Mr. Mathew briefly outlined the monthly Statistical Reports, and commented on the increase in occupancy and birth rates, Laboratory and X-ray workload. ' On April 21, 1977, the following group visited the Wilson Memorial Hospital in Marathon to obtain additional information needed for the Purchasing Advisory Committee: Rena McAdam, Edith Ogrodnik, Margaret Puttock, Margaret Phillips, Roland Wills, Dr. Croll, Roland Sinotte. It has been moved and seconded that G.B.D. Associates (Architectural Firm) be authorized to purchase major electrical, mechanical and fixed equipment for the new hospital; subject to final approval by the Board of Governors. Accounts Payable plus Net Payroll for the month of March I977 totalling $39,I69.7I were accepted for payment. : The Service Employees International Union Negotiations are completed, except for the 'signing of the Contract. _ Confirmation was received on March 3I, I977 from the Minister of Health, the Honorable Dennis Timbrell, stating that they will be funding the new hospital.
