PAGE 16 TERRACE BAY NEWS MAY 26, 1977 The Kinsmen Club of Schreiber, Inc. has, for some eight years, been working and expanding, at considerable expense, a section of beach property commonly known as "White Sand Beach". Two years ago the Kinsmen Club took over owner -ship of this area, plus all buildings and fac -ilities, from the Ministry of Natural Resour- ces to provide a much needed beach and park area for your children and ours as well as for many adults and senior citizens. ' Accompanying this article is a photograph which, we are sure, will indicate to all why we feel this letter was necessary. The build- ing shown was the lifeguard storage shed and shelter. The indiscriminate vandalism evident in the picture tells the story. As indicated earlier, this beach is kept in reasonable shape by the Kinsmen and we would not like to see this beach area returned to the Ministry of Natural Resources but would like to continue to improve and, at this point, restore this much needed area. We are, therefore, asking those concerned enough to care to remember that this is the on- ly beach in this area that can be used by:all, free-of-charge. If the vandalism continues, we will have no choice but to discontinue the beautification of this area. Serving the Community's Greatest Need, we are, THE KINSMEN CLUB OF SCHREIBER, INC.
