E 16 TERRACE BAY NEWS APRIL 20, 1977 SCHREIBER ART CLUB MEETING Mrs. Simone Bourgeois, presiding at the April 4th meeting of the Schreiber Art Club, read a letter giving details of an oil paint- ing course which is to be given at Quetico Centre on April 15th to April 20th by S. Green. Alice Sparkes and Colleen Glad reported on attending the North Shore Art Clubs' Seminar, held in Terrace Bay on March 19th with Jim Dunstan of Confederation College presiding. It was learned that the College does not have a Fine Arts program with full time people to draw upon as a resource. The high cost of keeping an Area artist was discussed and it is hoped arrangements can be made to share costs. : Regular planning sessions should be held to plan Spring and Fall activities. The next seminar will be held on May 14th in Terrace Bay to develop the Fall program. SCHREIBER SOCIAL: Mr. and Mrs. John Spillane enjoyed a scenic tour of Florida, driving with their son, Douglas and his wife for their holiday. Mr. and Mrs. Hartly McKay, Mr. and Mrs. Paddy Spadoni and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Walker holidayed together in Hawaii. Mrs. E.M. Dunning has returned after a visit with her three sisters in Thessalon and Many other relatives who came there to see her. RECREATION NEWS Everyone of all ages who are interested in forming a Tennis Club please attend a meeting . on April 25th at 7 p.m. in the Town Hall. An executive will be formed to look after the Tennis Courts. Born to Mr. and Mrs. Bill Malcolm of Schreiber, a girl, on April 7th, :1977 at the Port Arthur General Hospital. COME & GO SHOWER A Come and Go Shower will be held in honour of Linda Commisso on Sunday, April 24th from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. in the Town Hall, Schreiber. Everyone is welcome.
