APRIL 6, 1977 TERRACE BAY NEWS ° PAGE NORTHERN AFFAIRS OFFICER APPOINTED Mr. Don Myles, Regional Supervisor, Northwestern/ North Central Region, North- ern Affairs Branch announced the appointment of Jim Tris- tram as Northern Affairs ; TS Officer for Marathon and JIM TRISTRAM area. Following a training period Mr. Tristram will assume his responsibil|' -ities in Marathon on April 25. Mr. Tristram | replaces John Beverly Young who is being re- located in Thunder Bay following three years service in Marathon. Jim Tristram was born and educated in Brock- ville. He joined the Ontario Provincial Police in 1969 and has served at the Marathon detach- ment since that time. Jim and his wife Patri- cia are the parents of one daughter, Jennifer. They will continue to reside in Marathon. In addition to serving the town of Marathon, Jim will be responsible for providing the wide range of Northern Affairs services to the north shore communities and the Northern Affairs satellite offices at Manitouwadge, Schreiber and Terrace Bay. A COMMUNITY - MEETING will be held in LAKE SUPERIOR HIGH SCHOOL - TERRACE BAY CAMPUS ~~ ON | IWEDNESDAY, APRIL 13TH, 1977 AT 7:00 P.M. Those who are interested in looking at the needs of the communities of Terrace Bay and Schreiber and who feel that existing services should be further co-ordinated and expanded, are invited to attend.
