I2 MARCH 23, I977 : 20¢ PER COPY STATEMENT BY JACK STOKES, MPP LAKE NIPIGON RIDING I wish to advise the residents of Terrace Bay, Schreiber and Rossport that a meeting between the Representatives of The McCausland Hospital and Staff of the Ministry of Health, Institutional Planning Branch, took place on Thursday, March 10th, I977 at the Ministry's "Office in Toronto. Attending the meeting on Dehalf of The McCausland Hospital were Mr. Paul D. Mathew, Administrator, Dr. K.W. Wilkes, Mrs. Rena McAdam and Mrs. Jeanette McEwen. Also attending yon behalf of the Hospital, Mr. John Petersmeyer, Architect, and myself. Attending on behalf cf the Ministry 'of Health, Institutional Planning Branch were Mr. George Visakaly, Project Manager and Mr. I. Wallner, Architect Consultant; Miss D. Monteith, Senior Nursing Consultant,and Miss Grace Walker, Nursing Consultant. The meeting proved to be very successful. There are some minor details to be worked out between the Ministry and the Hospital Representatives, involving architect plans, as well as, a few other details. A further meeting is scheduled to take place in Terrace Bay between the Ministry and Hospital Representatives. This meeting will take place on Tuesday, March 29th, 1977. ) I hope to report to the residents of Terrace Bay, Schreiber and Rossport that all details will soon be finalized. I wish to take this opportunity to congratulate and thank the Representatives of The 4yMcCausland Hospital for giving such a great deal of time and effort towards the building Of the new hospital in Terrace Bay. . : : I do not need to elaborate on the urgency of this matter. The length of time in dealing ~"with the Ministry of Health has been nothing short of a frustrating experience for them and for me. I am hopeful this new building will soon commence.
