These are Typing (Terrace Bay) and English for new Canadians (Schreiber). The Typing class is a continuation of last semester. The English Course has Just begun. At this time we are in a position to offer: Conversational French, Sewing (Beginners and Advanced), Typing, Rug Hooking, Shorthand (Pitman), Speedwriting (Forkner Shorthand), Junior Badminton, Bookkeeping, Ladies Keep Fit, Arts and Crafts, New Math for Parents. More information and registration will be advertised in the following issue of the News. BASKETBALL: On Thursday, January 13th, the four Basket- ball teams from Lake Superior High School x travelled to Geraldton to compéte in the finals 4 for the Western portion of the NSSSAA champion- £ bal saben, ships. The Senior Girls and the Senior Boys won both of their games against the Nipigon- Red Rock and the Geraldton teams to finish first in their divisions. The Junior Boys lost their game to Nipigon-Red Rock High School but won against Geraldton to qualify for the Xe finals being held at Lake Superior High School on February 3rd and 4th. The Junior Girls played well but lost both of their games and did not qualify for the finals. All of the , teams played well and were excellent embassa- A dors for our School. 4, MINOR HOCKEY PLAYER OF THE WEEK Player of the week is based on ability, most improved and desire.
