DECEMBER I, I976 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE 7 GUIDING NEWS The first meeting of the 1976-77 season for G REYH 0l ND BU S LINE Guiding leaders was held at the home of Barba- ra Lalonde on November 17, 1976 with ten lead- ers present. The meeting was chaired by Marilyn Saranpaa and opened with the Guide Prayer. Minutes of the April meeting were read. A thank you was received from the Association for] the Mentally Retarded in this area for deliver-] ing the flowers of hope for them in Terrace Bay. : Barbara Wise and Marilyn Saranpaa reported on the Area meeting they attended in Thunder Bay. Terrace Bay was congratulated on the 'driftwood centrepieces that the Leaders [ede for the Banquet. Six leaders attended a training in Red Rock. This included a meeting on the Friday and training on the Saturday. Many of the new- er leaders gain a lot of knowledge and sharing, out of these trainings. Recently a very successful meeting and training was held in Terrace Bay at the Commun- ity Church, with 'the Local Association to Guides and Brownies supplying a lovely lunch for everyone. It was decided that Pack 1 Brownies will hold their enrollment on December lst and Pack 2 on December 2nd, Girl Guides on December 7th. All mothers and fathers are welcome to any of these "Special" nights. Each of the audit books have been audited for 1976.
