I9 NO. 47 - DECEMBER I, I976 : 20¢ PER COPY HALE & BRASSARD CANDIDATES FOR REEVE - ~ James (Curly) Hale Cy Brassard On Monday, December 6th, Terrace Bay residents will vote for a new Reeve. The two candidates are both presently Town Councillors and active members of the com- munity. The Terrace Bay News attempted to interview the two nominees but unfor- tunately Curly Hale was not available for interview. However, Cy Brassard was reached and his conversation is included. Cy Brassard, an Electrician at Kimberly-Clark has been a resident of Terrace Bay for twenty-two years. Originally from Rossport, Cy attended school in Thunder Bay and North Bay before coming co Terrace Bay. ; Cy is married to Lillian Brassard and they have two children - Karen 7 and Richard 5. Lillian is also employed at Kimberly-Clark. During his councillorship of four years Cy has chaired the Hydro, Police, Fire,-Public Works and the Recreation Committees. A member of the Legion and the Moose, Cy is also involved in The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers through his job at the Mill. (Cont'd pg. 3.)
