Falzetta of Terrace Bay was united in marriage to Allan Peter Harty, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. Harty of Thunder Bay. Rev. Fr. A. Greengrass officiated at the cere- mony. The Bride was given in marriage by her father. Altar boys for the "service were Richard : Gramatowski and Joséph Kenney. Mrs. M. Simmer was the organist. Maid of Honour was Louise Brooks from Fred- ericton, New Brunswick and James 'Irwin was the Best Man. Jim Howie and Blair Dornan were the ushers. A reception followed the service at the Legion Hall in Terrace Bay. Mr. M. Payette, grandfather of the Bride, proposed a toast to the Bride. Brenda Harty, the guest book. The couple will reside at Lakeshore Drive, Thunder Bay. ; Prior to their wedding the Bride was enter- tained at two Bridal showers. Mr. Maloney was in the process of organizing and setting up his office and ser- vices at that time. I was quite impressed with- his comments and comparison of other ombudsmen, responsibilities and the goals, he expected to achieve for Ontario. . Many people confuse the office of the Ombud- sman with the C.B.C. television program of the same name. The C.B.C. television program ac- cepts viewers complaints and by publicly telling that a certain problem exists will often re- ' solve a viewers complaint. The Ontario Ombudsman has been granted his power and authority by the legislature assembly of the Province of Ontario by an act of parlia- ment. : The purpose of the Ontario Ombudsmen is to investigate administrative decisions and acts of officials of the Government of Ontario and its agencies.
