GEOGRAPHY FIELD TRIP TO ROUSE CANYON, NEYS PARK AND EMPRESS MINES: : On Wednesday, September 22nd, the grade ten geography-classes from both Schreiber and Terrace Bay Campuses, went on a field trip. Our guides were Mr. Klassen and Mr. Vander- graaf., We went to Rouse Canyon, Neys Park and Empress Mine. We were taken to a huge canyon thirty miles east of Marathon. It was caused by erosion, possibly after the Department of Highways stripped the area of the living layer. The material underneath was so lifeless that it was carried away into the Black River. This created a miniature canyon such as those found in S.W. United States. oh God : Continued page 8 ....
