The Board's Fuel 0il requirements will be tendered for the year 1976-77, and each year thereafter. Enrollments in the schools as at September 20th show an increase over the school year 1975-76. Our enrollemnts in both the Elementary and Secondary schools in Marathon and also in the Elementary schools in Terrace Bay and Schreiber were higher than what was projected. While enrollments are declining throughout Ontario, it is most gratifying to see a dif- ferent trend in this school division. A meeting of the Recreation Committee to discuss how Confederation College can fit into 'the Community Programme.of Terrace Bay is to held Thursday, September 30th at 7:00 p.m. in the Home Economics Room at Lake Superior High School, Terrace Bay. A GREAT WAY TO SAVE: ° Continued from page 1 ..... This year marks the 31st anniversary of Canada Savings Bonds which have become recog- nized through the years as Canada's most pop- ular personal investment. There have been over 43.7 million applications since 1946, with total sales during that period amounting to over $47.6 billion. Of that amount, almost $7.3 billion has been purchased through the payroll savings plan instituted in thousands of business establishments for their employees. Last year, a record $564 million worth of Canada Savings Bonds was purchased through the payroll savings plan by more than 786,000 in- dividual purchasers. Canada Savings Bonds are available to all Canadians, either through the payroll savings plan where they work or by individual purchase for cash or by instalments, at their local banks and authorized investment dealers, stock -brokers, trust and loan companies and credit unions. Canada Savings Bonds play a dual role in the development of Canada. They help indivi- dual Canadians save, on a regular basis, to- wards achieving family economic goals and at the same time, play a major role in the Feder- .al Government's debt management program; thus providing a means whereby every Canadian can become directly involved in financing his country's growth and future development.
