Mr. and Mrs. Leo Parent of Edmonton visited Mrs. Anne Todesco on the weekend. Mrs. Parent is the. former Annie McLeod, a pupil of Mrs. Todesco's when she taught school in Jackfish. Mr. and Mrs. Tony Minoletti of Thunder Bay are visiting Mr. Peter Testori. Mrs. William Cherutti of Thunder Bay is visiting her sister, Mrs. Rouble. Adolph King has left to reside in Espanola with his son Peter and family for the winter. Mrs. Dave Mushquash returned Saturday from McKellar Hospital in Thunder Bay. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Greer and family of Thunder Bay were guests on the weekend with the Mushquash family. Raymond Goodchild was home over the weekend from Thunder Bay. Mrs. Grace Bruley, Mr. and Mrs. Albert that it would be operated as a community hall with a five member committee appointed to run the project. Repairs will be made after funds are raised for this purpose. Those appointed were Patsey Campbell, Walter Gerow, Nick Bain, Dave Iddison and Joyce Lanigan. ~The Recreation Hall Committee held their first meeting immediately following the open _ meeting. They elected Mrs. Patsey Campbell as chairman, Dave Iddison vice chairman, Joyce Lanigan secretary-treasurer and Walter Gerow and Nick as assistants. They decided to start with a Bingo. They plan on seeking a Wintario Grant as there are oustanding accounts to be settled. The past committee books are to be obtained and to be audited. ; The members plan on a monthly meeting dur- ing their term. Following adjournment a thorough inspection of the building inside and out was made to note repairs required immediately.
