To open the evening Madame Commissioner, Marlyn Saranpaa presented many service stars to the girls. Cathy Geldreich assisted by Isle Smith presented the badges. Tracy Stachiw received - Hostass, Launder- ess, Cooks, Bakers, Little House Emblem, Team- sport, Naturalist and Campfire Leader. Barbara Gramatowski received - Launderess, Hostess, Industrial and Little House Emblem. Anne Crockford received - Bakers, Cooks, Little House Emblem, Life Saver Helper, and Campfire Leader. Marigold Bishop received - Hostess, Laund- eress and Teamsport. Maureen Pytyck received - Industrial and Little House Emblem. These girls have been working hard towards earning their all round cords. ~ HOSPITAL HIGHLIGHTS The January meeting of the McCausland Hosp- ital Board was held Tuesday the 20th at the Lake Superior High School - Schreiber Campus. Ten members were present. The Minutes of the regular December 16, 1975, Board meeting were accepted as circulat- ed. : The Nurses' contracts are being reviewed. Full time Nurses' contracts were received and signed. The part time Nurses' contracts are yet to be received. Mrs. Jan McEwen elaborated on Property Re- zoning. The rezoning of the area selected for the new hospital was not opposed by the residents in the prescribed area. This pro- perty has been determined by our Consulting Engineers to be an ideal site for our new hospital. As a further step towards the development of the new hospital - Mrs. McEwen, together with the Board's Architect, Mr. John Peters- meyer, is compiling a brief profile on each department of the hospital for submission to the Ministry of Health. Construction of the new hospital is expect- ed to be completed by February 1978. (Eight- een months from beginning of construction). Dr. Croll briefly narrated about the Travel Physicians' Program, 'sponsored by the O.M.A. Mrs. Betty Usher, the new Representative of the Hospital Auxiliary to the Board, was wel- comed by the Board Chairman.
