Mr. Mike Churney was the expert who pre- pared the tulip beds and planted them. The Legion owes Mike a vote of thanks for his hours of work at that job. A reminder to all Legionaires that our Re- membrance Day ceremonies will be held on Nov. 8 at 11 a.m. at the Cenotaph. The dinner and dance follows in the evening. Saranpaa opened the meet- ing with the Guide Prayer and welcomed Mrs. C. Geldreich to the Guiding movement. Cathy and Miss Sheena Caldwell (Cadet) will both be working with the Girl Guides. A very pro- mising year in all Blue and Brown is expected this year. Mrs. Cathy Jo Wallwin is now the Brown Badge Secretary. No Blue Badge Secre- tary is available at present, but will be kept by the Blue leaders. - Guiding on the Move buttons and T-Shirts are for sale. The T-Shirts are only $1.00 for any child or adult size. Guiding calendars for 1976 are now on sale. Anyone can buy one from a Brownie or Guide. Remembrance Day will be on Nov. 8. All Brownies, Guides and Cadets and Guiders will participate in the parade. A wreath will be laid. Mrs. Pam Jones and Mrs. Marilyn Saranpaa received their Part two of the Maple Leaf course. The Voyageur Area Annual meeting was held in Sault Ste Marie on Oct. 18-20. CC. Geldrei- ch and M. Saranpaa attended. A report was given at the meeting.
