PAGE 14 TERRACE BAY NEWS OCTOBER 29, .1975 ROSSPORT ALTAR SOCIETY MEETS The regular meeting of the St. John Berch- man's Altar Society was held Wednesday even- ing at the home of Mr. Eugene Gerow. Members present were Mrs. E. Gerow, Mrs. W. Schelling, Mrs. C. Todesco, Mrs. Felix Legault, Mrs. Ray Kenney and Mrs. Herb Legault. The minutes of the previous regular meeting were read by Mrs. Schelling and adopted. Correspondence included letters pertaining to the Cemetery Act and burial fees and map of the cemetery, cards of thanks and donatio- ns. Mrs. Felix Legault presented the financial statement which was very satisfactory and ad- opted on motions of Mrs. Kenney and Mrs. Ger- ow. The treasurer also reported on the suc- cess of the recent bingo results. Mrs. Todesco reported on the prizes avail- able for the bingo scheduled to be held Mon- day, Thanksgiving Day. Also under new busin- ess a discussion was Had on a date suitable for the fall cleaning of the .church, storing . the water hose, sprinklers and lawn mower for the winter. : Accounts were passed for payment which in- : cluded the church janitor, fuel oil, and bul- bs. It was decided to order new supplies of candles for the altar. Mrs. Schelling invit- ed the members to meet at her home for the November meeting. Following adjournment the hostess served refreshments. ROSSPORT SOCIAL SPECTRUM The Thunder: Mug Gift Shop has closed for the season after a busy tourist season. : Mrs. C.W. Todesco is a business visitor to Thunder Bay this week. : Mr. and Mrs. Ron Lanigan and family of Ni- pigon spent the weekend with the Mushquash and Iddison families here. Miss Lorraine Seppala and Floyd Harndin have returned from a holiday in Chicago and Toronto. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Henderson are holida- ying in Duluth this week. RUBY REBEKAH LODGE 279 MEETING Ruby Rebekah Lodge 279 met on Wednesday, October 22nd for the regular meeting. Mrs. Norma Fummerton, N.G. and Mrs. Georgina Dav- is presided. Mr. and Mrs. Pringle Plummer of Duncan, B.C. were welcomed as visitors. Routine business followed. Thank you notes were received from Mrs. L. Wilson and Mrs. Mary Husband. The CPT meeting will be held at Mrs. D.Q. Hamilton's home on November 2nd. Mrs. Fisher reported on the Installation Supper. Mrs. G. Davis gave the sick and visiting report. Cards were sent to Mrs. Catherine Wh- itton and Mrs. V. Winters, Mrs. E. Gerow, Mr. J. Gagnon and the Drake family. A tea will be held on November lst. All members are asked to donate to the home baking table and the Touch and Take table. B. Macadam won the attendance prize. Mrs. Gladys Hamilton D.D.P. of District 41 and staff installed the New Officers of the District which included Ruby Lodge 279, Schr- eiber, Greenstone 86, Amethyst 106, Agate 252, Sapphire 309, Topaz 316 all of Thunder Bay. ( LEGUCKI: Mrs. Stefania Legucki passed away in the hospital on Wednesday, October 22, 1975. Beloved wife of Walter Legucki she is also survived by her aunt and family of Toronto.
