URLING OMMENTS The Curling Club has been informed that due to a ice plant breakdown on October 23rd and 24th, ice in the Curling Rink will not be ready by November lst as initially announced. Therefore the "Wine and Cheese" opening bon- spiel will be changed to November 8th and 9th as opposed to the lst and 2nd. Plans for the open Curling Clinic will now depend entirely on when the ice will be avai- lable for play. Keep watching the News for further developements. "Wine and Cheese" Opening Bonspiel - so far there are enough names to form 16 rinks. If you would like to enter, simply sign your name to special forms which have been posted in various business outlets at the Plaza. Special guest speaker was Pastor Rudolph Drisner from Thunder Bay. Pastors John Laari and David Laakso of Terrace Bay each conducted one of the morn- ing and evening services. Ministers and members of congregations from Nakina, Nip- igon, Kapuskasing, Schreiber and Terrace. Bay were welcomed by Pastor John Laari and participated together. The pianist was Mrs. Ruth Pickle from Nakina. Pastor Drisner, his wife, Shirley and daughter, Glenda sang a solo hymn accompanied by another daughter, Sandra on piano. A Smorgasborg Thanksgiving Dinner was held at the Laybourne residence on Superior Avenue with 51 people attending.
