Numerous thefts of firearms and tapes (ste- reo) from parked vehicles were reported and these offenses are under investigation. The theft of a colour T.V. was reported from Montreal Engineering. There are no sus- pects at this time. Damage was committed to two Beaver Homes during the weekend when paint was splashed ov- er the interiors. A theft of money from a local resident was reported over the weekend. Two suspects are being sought. A local man who decided to use the lawns of the Home for the aged as a highway will shor- tly be appearing in court charged under the Petty Trespass Act. Three charges were laid under the Highway Traffic Act and four were laid under the Lig- uor Control Act. Magistrate Buttrin presided over the reg- ular sitting of District Court on October 16. Claude Latour pleaded guilty to careless driving and was fined $128.00 Warrants for the arrest of David Helmink and Wayne White were 'issued when they failed to appear after being summoned.
