OCTOBER 16, 1975 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE 3 TERRACE BAY RECREATION DEPARTMENT WEEKLY REPORT CROSS-COUNTRY SKI CLINIC TO BE HELD: The green light has been given through Con- federation College to sponsor a Cross-Country Ski Clinic in Terrace Bay on some weekend be- fore Christmas. A date will be selected sho- rtly and an advertisement will appear in the Terrace Bay News advertising this programme. MINOR HOCKEY SKATE EXCHANGE : The annual Minor Hockey skate exchange is scheduled to be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 28th and 29th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Conference Room of the Recreation Cen- tre. Watch the News for further details. BASKETBALL: The Recreation Office has received some in- terest in the formation of a Basketball league for adults. If you are interested in pursuing this programme, please call the Recreation Of- fice at 3542 and leave your name. ARE YOU INTERESTED IN The Recreation Office is still accepting names for such possible programmes as weaving (on loom), Yoga, hockey (no body contact). Here again, simply call the Recreation Office and leave your name if interested in one or fl more of these programmes. CURLING AND ARENA ICE: Curling ice will be made available for play on Saturday; November lst. The opening of the Terrace Bay Arena has still not been determin- ed as we will be in the midst of renovations to the west end of the Arena at the end of the month to house our new ice re-surfacer and tr- actor. The opening date of the Arena will be selected later on in October and announcements will be made at that time. PUBLIC SKATING SESSIONS: A reminder to everyone that public skating sessions are free to skaters who are members of the Terrace Bay Recreation Association. is mandatory that skaters present their Rec- reation discs (yellow in colour) for free ad- mittance to public skating sessions.
