Many ocd decorating ideas were used, on the cookies - and tables - but everyone had a great time. Keolaid and cookies were served for lunch. Pack one sang a Christmas song by candleli- ght complete with homemade jingle bells. Pack two acted 'The Night Before Christmas' many cute costumes were worn much to the delight of everycne. Cn Wednesday, December I8th, all the Guides anc Brownies gathered together and toured a section of the town to sing Christmas Carols. It was a beautiful starlit night and the girls were in fine voice. They made many stops on Kenogami Road en- route to the Hospital The first stop was at Reverend McKagues and Opas's. The Bishops and the Houston's were honoured with a small selec- tion cf carols. Mrs. Eva Haughn was surprised and delighted to have a special carol sang at her door. Now it was time to go to the hospit- al, but everyone decided that they couldn't paces by the McBride's home, so The McBrides and the Daleys had their driveway filled with #inging Brownies. On arriving at the hospital the girls sang a few carols, for the staff and patients, then iE ¢ 7 I) mth fe at a request from Mr. Jim Bryson they sang Jingle Bells along with him. The next stop was Birchwood Terrace (we don't know if the staff thought they were be- ing ir-raded), but everyone wanted to go in and sing for the senior citizens, so, 75 youngsters and leaders crowded into the hall way and lounge, but due to the competent organizing of Myna Mahoney no confussion arose at all, much to the relief of the Leaders. The Senior citizens joined in a few of the carols, that were sung around a Twinkling Christmas tree. The L.A. to Guides and Brownies and Birch- wood Terrace graciously supplied hot chocolate and Christmas cookies for the carolers. During the evening a beautiful Pointsetta plant was presented to the residents by Mari- gold Bishop (guide) and Brownies Nancy Gerlach (Ist Pack) and Lisa Fournier (2nd Pack). It was accepted by Mr. Otto Maki. The girls who had saved their pennies for it were thanked by Mrs. Jessie Macadam on behalf of the residents. To close the evening the girls visited for awhile, then went around to wish each and every -one a Merry Christmas. Darlene and Valarie Larson of Toronto and Mr. Vic Huggard of Thunder Bay, along with Mr. and Mrs. E. Montey of Dryden visited with Mr. and Mrs. Roy Larson over the Christmas holidays.
