HOMES FOR THE AGED NEWS RELEASE The Boaxd of Management of the District of Thunder Bay Homes for the Aged met on November 21st at twelve noon at Pinewood Court. Five Board members were present together with Mr. John Ranta from Ranta and Tett Architects, who attended and reviewed, with the Board, a pro- posal to change the four to a room problem at Pinewood. Mr. Ranta was given authorization to do detail planning on the conversion of one room, so that it could be assessed by the Res- idents and Staff. A regular meeting followed where' the Oper- ating Accounts, totalling $67,000.00, for the Homes were passed. At this time also, the Administrator was authorized to re-negotiate the price presently being paid for fuel, as he had received a firm bid lower than the price now under contract. A new Constitution was approved by the Bo- ard of Management which sets regulations for new Board members and also, makes provision for the holding of an annual meeting. Each of the sixteen participating Municipalities in the District will appoint a voting delegate to attend this meeting.
