An object floating in Lake Superior off of St. Ignace and the main land prompted a search by O.P.P. Personnel aided by the Ministry of Natural Resources. The sighting was made by CPR employees from an eastbound train and is possibly linked with a missing person presently being investigated by Nipigon Detachment. A thorough search of the lake and shore line re- vealed nothing. That investigation is contin- uing. A theft of boat and motor valued at $500.00 from Whitesand Lake is also being investigated. § Theft occurred between July I2th and 22nd, I974 and boat is described as I5 ft. aluminum with 3 "Gun Mountain Lodge" printed on side and an old | 5% h.p. Johnson outboard.
