AMENDMENT TO THE HIGHWAY TRAFFIC ACT Transportation and Communications Minister John R. Rhodes has announced that owners of small trucks are no longer required to have their names printed on the side of their veh- icles. The amendment to the Regulations of Ontario made under The Highway Traffic Act became effective July 2, 1974. The amendment exempts all commercial motor vehicles having a gross weight of not more than 18,000 pounds, in add- ition to motorized mobile homes and trucks fitted with camper units which were exempted under a previous regulation. The new regulation is the result of increas- ed popularity in the use of small commercial motor vehicles as means of private transporta- tion. Miss Marcia Kettle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. Kettle of Terrace Bay gradu- ated at Convoca- tion Exercises at Lakehead University on May 28th.
