There are a few rules which we ask you to obey while the beach is being supervised. DO NOT BRING GLASS BOTTLES TO THE BEACH DO NOT PLAY ON THE BUOY LINE DO NOT BRING INFLATED FLOATING DEVICES INTO THE BUOYED AREA ALWAYS SWIM WITH A BUDDY CHILDREN UNDER FIVE SHOULD BE ACCOMPANIED BY PARENTS IN WATER. These few rules will make the beach much safer for everyone. The beach is supervised Mon-Fri. I-4 p.m. On weekends, the guards are there from I until 6 p.m. WOMEN'S FASTBALL: : This is a club which seems to be going reel- ly well. The President is Irene Borutski; Barb McLaughlin is the Secretary and there are about fifty members. They play on Friday and Sunday evenings at the High School ball diamond. There's lots of excitement at the games. Now that the black flies are disappearing a bit, come out and watch them play a game. WINTER PROGRAMMES : Now is the time to get busy organizing pro- grammes for the winter. Is there anything YOU would like to do this winter? Confederation College is willing to run courses in almost anything under their exten- sion programme. Schreiber Recreation is also willing to try to set up anything you'd like to do. Call with Recreation Office 824-2325 with any suggestions you may have. ART TREK: Painting, Batik, Sculpture, Macrame, Print- ing, Drawing. ~All these things are being off- ered by Art Trek this summer. The programme is for all ages and it is ABSOLUTELY FREE. You have to admit that the World Hockey Association should have a real contender when it meets the best of the Soviets in a show own series in September. The WHA, for one, will be better prepared than Team Canada was, and players like Bobby Hull, Gordie Howe, J.C. Tremblay, Mike Walton, Gerry Cheevers aren't exactly players to scoff at. Word a couple of weeks ago was that Toronto Maple Leafs' Dave Keon would also join the WHA squad. Most of these big names may be up in age and may not have the stamina of the Russians, but they certainly have the experience. Should be interesting!
