Council Quotes - continued Under new business Council adopted the Collective Agreement of S.E.I.U. Local 268. Under committee reports Mrs. Helmink asked about the locks for the Recreation Centre and Councillor Hale advised her they were ordered and it takes about 2 months from date of order. Mrs. Helmink also asked council to consider tendering for the major painting required in the Curling Club. This will be done. Her final report was the present condition of the Recreation area since the renovations. A letter will go to Barnett McQueen, contrac- tors requesting them to return this area to its original condition. Councillor Brassard reported the town owned house was in need of painting and this should be done after the roof is replaced. Councillor Hale suggested a good housekeep- ing tour of the town should be conducted and he will arrange for this. He will also check on a few areas and the Municipal-Hydro Build- ing for possible painting required. Councillor Hale also requested a tender be let for the cemetery fencing. Councillor Megraw reported the detailed drawings for storm sewers, curbing, grading and paving have been completed. Reeve Bray read a letter from the local Chamber of Commerce about the condition of the Recreation Centre area and the Public School grounds. Reeve Bray also gave a report of the N.W.O. M.L. meeting he had attended to organize an advisory committee for Northwestern Ontario. KIMBERLY-CLARK EMPLOYEES ACHIEVE 100 sAFe DAYs On May I9, I974 at 8:00 a.m., Kimberly-Clark Mill employees achieved I00 Safe Days. This period, February 8 to May I9, represents more than 300,000 man hours worked. On May 2I eight draws were held and the following prizes were awarded: Two Clock Radio winners were: Cathy Jo Wallwin and A. Pasqualino. Six "Dinner for Two" winners were: W. Tuck, Doug Luke, C.
