Saturday evening the Mixed Darts competit- ion was held with once again many new players joining in just for the fund of it, and every- one had a good time and decided that one is never too old to learn a new sport and quite a few people announced. that darts is a good game, and exciting if one is a new player clev -erly making their way to the finals. Although they were unable to attend the ceremonies due to local cdmmittments, Reeve and Mrs. Harold McParland were gratified to have two of their family graduate recently: Dennis McParland, receiving a B.A. from Lake- head University and Miss Laura McParland a diploma from Confederation College in the Med- ical Secretarial Program. Starting Saturday, June 8th the Schreiber Public Library will be closed on Saturday, through June, July and August. From Monday to Friday the Library will be open from 2 to 5 p.m. "Take Home" Beef Less than half a steer on the hoof ends up as "take home" beef. A 1,000-pound animal ends 'up as a 600-pound carcass, which trims down to 162 pounds of fat, bone and waste, leaving 438 pounds of beef available for sale.
