This summer the Recreation Department will be offering a complete Water safety programme in Red Cross and Royal Life. Have you thought about participating in these Water safety pro- grammes? Adults, since many of you participate in fishing and boating, have you thought about taking a special Water Safety programme. if there is sufficient interest, a special adult water safety programme can be offered. Simply call the Recreation Office to let us know if your interested. LADIES FASTBALL PROGRAMME : At the time of this write-up, the meeting schedule for Tuesday, May 28th had not yet been held. : Attendance at this meeting would largely determine the interest for a Ladies Fastball programme this summer. More details next week. COMING EVENTS: saturday, June Ist - "Bring-In" Perennial Day, garage compound, Kenogami Rd., 8 a.m. to 12 Tuesday, June 4th - Plant Sale by Horticultural Society, Curling Club Parking Lot. Thursday, June 6th - Important Art Club Meet- ing, 8 p.m., large meeting room of the Recrea-: tion Centre. June I3th & I4th - CNIB Mobile Eye Care Unit, Curling Club Parking Lot. LEGION LADIES AUXILIARY #223 The regular meeting of the L.A. to Legion £223 was held on May 20th. Following roll call and old business, J. Gunter was presented with her Past President bar. ; J. Megraw read the financial report, corr- espondence was read and the various committees gave their reports. The Sports Day Committee requested a dona- tion for prizes. This request was granted. A motion was passed to send a donation to the Sports Scholarship Fund and the Deer Lodge Library Fund. The kitchen is in need of a clock, can open- er and serving bowls. A motion was passed to purchase these much needed articles. Dues for 1974 were due in January with the cut off date being the end of March. KOPS GRADUATION On Wednesday, May 22nd the Schreiber-Terr- ace Bay Tops Club On I586 held their first KOPS graduation ceremonies, also presenting the yearly Recognition Awards. After a short meeting followed by a sing- song accompanied by Fred McColeman at the piano Leader Rhea Beaulieu then welcomed fell- ow members and their families, along with ladies from Chapter On 680, Red Rock. Co-Leader, Helen LeBlanc then introduced : the past executive. Each member was presented with a charm for each year of her term.
