MAY 22, 1974 TEKRACE BAY NEWS PAGE II RECREATION NEWS MINOR BALL PROGRAMME : By the end of this week, registration forms will be circulated to students in local schoo- ls outlining details of Minor Ball programme. When you receive your form, be sure to read it over carefully and return the completed form to the Recreation Office by the date outlined. VOLUNTEER HELP ESSENTIAL: In order to conduct a Minor Ball programme ir our community, it is absolutely essential that adults and/or students volunteer their time to assist in the programme either by way of coaching or umpiring. There is space provided for on the registra- tion form indicating your willingness to help. Think about it and if you would like to see a Minor Ball programme operated, volunteer your time to help. Anyone in the community who do- es not get the registration form, simply call the Recreation Office at 825-3542. PROGRAMME REMINDERS : Ladies 'Keep-Fit' Programme - the last 3 sess- ions will be held on Thursday, May 23rd, Tues- day, May 28th and Thursday, May 30th. Red Cross Leader Patrol Course =- Contact the Recreation Office if you would like to have more information on the Leader Patrol Course which will be held in Red Rock from June 22nd to June 25th. : * Spring Art Course -Session #9, Monday, May 27 at I:00 and 7:00 p.m. in 'the Conference Room. 1974-75 Recreation Discs =- Hopefully discs will be available for members during the latt- er part of next week. : SUMMER SCHOOL OF DANCE: Anyone interested, the Recreation Office hasj received information on the 2nd Annual Summer TERRACE BAY BOWLING ASSOCIATION DANCE MAY 25 -- MOOSE HALL Music by 'KRISTJANSON'S' 9pm. to1a.m.$4.00 per couple School of Dance which will be held in Thunder Bay from August 6th to 23rd. Further informa- tion on the length of courses and prices are available at the Recreation Office. ANYONE INTERESTED IN LADIES' SOFTBALL? The Recreation Office ys received an indi- cation of interest for a Ladies Softball lea- gue. To try and determine what the interest really is, an open meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 28th, in the large meeting room of the Recreation Centre at 6:00 p.m. The pur- pose of this meeting will determine if there is sufficient interest to form a Ladies' Soft- ball league. If you are interested, be sure to attend this meeting. COMING EVENTS: Monday, May 27th - local association of Guides and Brownies meeting, 7:30 p.m., Community Church basement. Saturday, June Ist - "Bring In" Perennial Day, garage compound, Kenogami Rd., I0:00 a.m. to I2 noon. Tuesday, June 4th - Plant Sale by Horticultural Society, Curling Club parking lot.
