The $2.00 per month Swim Pool membership was established in 1963 to offset the cost of constructing and maintaining the swim pool facility for the community. It is obvious to note that since 1956, costs for maintaining our recreational facilities have drastically increased. This change in membership rate will result in a "one only" comprehensive recreation membership system at $2. 00 per month or $24.00 per year as opposed to the present two-rate membership system. s The "one only" comprehensive membership rate will entitle families and individuals to the use of all facilities including the swim pool. It should be noted, however, that extra registration fees are payable depending on the nature of the programme (i.e., registration fees for minor hockey, figure skating, etc.).
