' TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE 4I TERRACE BAY POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT A total of 23 occurrences were reported to the Terrace Bay Police Department last week. On December I4th an arson is suspected when a camp near the golf course was destroy- ed by fire. 'A further fire occurred at 'a local residence where minor damaged was incurred in the basement. Also on December I4th a careless driving. charge was laid against an eighteen year old youth. ; Two minor accidents were investigated, nine charges were laid under the dog by-law and two charges under the parking by-law. Five motor vehicles were safety checked and three warnings issued. In Provincial Court last week Judge Roy Mitchell presiding, Joseph Desaulniers, Paul Belliveau and Roger Meister pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of theft. Each were placed on probation for six months.' Peter Deutscher was remanded until January 8th without plea on a charge of supplying liquor to a. minor.
