LOCAL ASSOCIATION TO GUIDES & BROWNIES The Local Association to Guides and Brown-, ies held their monthly meeting in the Commun- ity Church basement with fourteen members present. The president, Mrs. G. Moore opened the meeting with the Guide prayer. The minutes of the last meeting were read by secretary, Mrs. A. McKie. Some L.A. mem- bers volunteered to make freshie and cookies for Fly-up. Plans were finalized for the Licorice All- Sorts Blitz on December 7th from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. - . Hostesses for the next meeting, January 28, I974 will be Mrs. E. Pollard and Mrs. V. Kostiuk. The meeting was adjourned and lunch was served by J. Desrosiers and B. Pytyck. AL "FLASH" BOURK MEMORIAL TROPHY A donation from the Bourk family, in the amount of $I,000.00 has been gratefully accept- ed by the Schreiber North Stars. This amount will be disbursed until deplet- ed as follows: The sum of $I00.00 will be given annually to the Schreiber North Star player voted as the "Most Improved Player" by his coach, assis- tant coach, manager, and team players. Voting will be done by secret ballot: This player will also receive a minor trophy engraved with his name and year. This minor tophy he will retain.
