Lake Superior is second in size only to the salty Caspian Sea, which is also a lake by definition -- being completely surrounded by land TERRACE BAY POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT ' A total of I8 occurrences were investigat-' ed during the past week by the Terrace Bay Police Department. On October 22nd, a complaint was received regarding damage to a light fixture of the new- addition to the Public School. Damage was estimated at $440.00. Two I5 year olds have been charged with this offence. Also during the weekend damage' was caused to an ornamental light fixture at the Home for the Aged. Two juveniles have been charg- ed with this offence. It was previously re- ported, on October I3th that the home of a local resident had been broken into and a quantity of property stolen. Two local youths have been charged with this offence and a further youth may be charged with re- _ ceiving part of the stolen property. During the week a Toronto man was charged with fraudulently using a Royal Bank of Canada Chargex card at a business establish- ment in Terrace Bay. Six motor vehicles were safety checked, four cuations issued and two minor thefts re- ported. Numerous complaints had been received re- garding the misuse of the Bell Telephone System. These calls appear to have been young boys and girls. Should such misuse con- tinue investigators of the Bell Telephone System will be notified and the offending party will be traced and charged. Along with any court penalty the telephone will be re- moved from the home of the culprit. A golden wedding band and two bicycles have been found. The owners of same may claim these at the Police Station. At the Ontario Police Chief's meeting held last week, Terrace Bay was selected to be the host at the next meeting to be held December 7th.
