The first issue was introduced in the fall of 1946 and every fall since then, hundreds of thousands of Canadians have invested in their own and in their country's future by purchasing Canada Savings Bonds. This will be the 28th consecutive year in which Canada Savings Bonds will be offered to employees through payroll savings plans where they work. Last year, Canadian employees set a record in dollar volume of Canada Savings Bonds purchased.
