Paradis was appoi=- nted manager of the Schre -iber rink for the coming season, at the regular meeting of the rink com- mittee with W.A. Campbell presiding. Reg' Bailey was re- appointed secretary-trea- surer and Miss Anne Bailey, appointed ticket taker. Of the 4-6 Rink Rats required, only two appli- cations were received, the monthly wage set at $I5.00, with of course the usual "perks' of free skating, and seeing all events in the arena. Skating charges were set at Children 35¢; students 50¢; adults 75¢; season tickets - family $15.00; 'single $I0.00. Reg Bailey is to advise the various schoo- ls that time is available during regular school hours, five days each week. Hourly rental of the rink was set at $6.00. Every effort will be made to provide the ice time requested by the local figure skating club, now under the aus- pices of the Lake Superior Board of Education. The committee requests that other associations requiring ice time should contact them as soon as possible in order that they can set up the season's schedule. Regular meetings were set for the third Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m. in the town hall - the next meeting to be on October 15th. It is hoped that free skating will open the season on Friday, October Ist. Sympathy is expressed to Mr. Jerry Dupas during the recent loss of his mother.
