MEETING BEGINS NEW SEASON The regular meeting of the Catholic Women's League took place on Sunday, September 9, I973 presided by Mrs. J. Kennedy. Minutes were read and approved. Mrs. Lapenskie (Organization) reminded all members to wear their league pins. Mrs. Regis read a poem entitled "A Smile". Mrs. Helmink reported she will be in charge of the Christmas party. She also touched on the subjects relating to Peace and Development and Social Welfare, and thanked the ladies who had helped when needed. A discussion took place concerning use of the gymnasium, bowling and the penny auction. Mrs. Robitaille is convening the penny auction and asked for help and suggestions to get don- ations. The C.W.L. will be catering to The Teacher's Convention to be held in October. Anyone interested in attending the retreat at Avila Centre will €ind the necessary infor- mation on the Sunday Bulletin. The meeting was adjourned with the League prayers. Father Greengrass played a recording which was very interesting.
