BEGIN FALL MEETINGS Mrs. Joe Campbell, at the September meeting of the Schreiber Women's Institute, agreed to convene a money draw, which will end at the December meeting. It was agreed to have a bakeless bake sale to which each member will donate two dollars. Mrs. Kathy Davis, of Hurkett, district pres- ident, wrote saying she would be pleased to attend the October meeting. Information was received on the annual area convention being hosted by the North District Women's Institute in the Prince Arthur Hotel onl' Sept. I8 and I9 for which billets and luncheon tickets may be reserved - Mrs. Todesco, presi- dent and Mrs. Winnie Clemens, treasurer, will attend. A pot luck supper and penny auction was plan -ned for the October meeting. Mrs. Campbell presented a paper on Canadian Industries, mentioning mining, agriculture, lumbering and paper mills. There was a discussion on current events - the recent railroad strike and the high cost of living increase.
