Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Parker and Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Marshall of Smithville, Ont. spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Lester McCuaig. Neighbours and old friends called on Tommy Bolan on his 80th birthday on September IIth to offer congratulations and enjoy reminiscing over past events on both the railway and comm- unity events. His old friends were sorry to hear of the death on September I4th in Toronto of Thomas Albert (Tom) Arnot. Mr. Arnot is survived by his wife, Stella of Toronto, two sons, Roderick of Peterborough, Terry and a daughter Donna (Mrs. Bill Hamilton) of London, two grandchild- ren. He is also survived by two sisters Miss Dorothy Arnot and Mrs. Ida McCashen of Toronto The funeral service was held in the Church of St. John the Evanglist in Toronto on September I7th. P.J. MCGRATH DIES IN OTTAWA Patrick Joseph McGrath age 50 of Kellaloe, Ont. died in an Ottawa hospital, Tuesday, Sept. 4th, 1973 following a lengthy illness. He had been employed by C.P. Rail Schreiber from I942 until I956. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Rail- road Trainmen and also chartered members of Knights of Columbus Schreiber Council #3554. Survived by his mother Mrs. Thomas McGrath Kellaloe; two brothers, Michael of Schreiber, Ambrose of Hamilton; three sisters, Mrs. John Power, Schreiber; Mrs. Frank Monette, Ottawa, Mrs. John Mulligan, Peterborough. 'Funeral service was conducted by Rev. L.W. Sammon. Interment was in St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Cemetery Kellaloe. Pall bearers were Colin McGrath, James Cull, Joseph Mullin, Edgar Gets, Leo O'Connor and Alex McGrath. Getting Fat?
