Since this is a new policy, both for the public and hospital staff, the Board asks that] everyone 'use the same courtesies when visiting in the Children's Ward as are used for adult visiting. Individual differences are even more important when pertaining to children and parents or friends should be constantly aware of this fact, especially in relation to other children in the hospital. The hospital nur- sing staff will do its best to supervise the visiting hours and to be available to answer questions of parents. Naturally, nursing care responsibilities in the rest of the hos- pital will determine the degree of availabil- ity and parents are asked to take this into account especially during the initial period of this new policy.
