Under new business a resolution was passed to levy on the McCausland Hospital, under sec- tion 304 of the Municipal Act an amount up to $50 on the capacity of the institution. The McCausland Hospital has a capacity of 2I. An increase in salary for Police Chief Barnett was passed with his anniversary date being set at August Ist of each year. It was moved that 75% of the moving costs for Constables Sturgeon and Aulenback be paid by the township. Constable Aulenback has also been promoted to 3rd class. The expenditures of the I973 budget were reviewed with the overall opinion being ex- pressed that things are "looking good". A lengthy discussion was held on the actual finished appearance of the present expansion of the cemetery. Councillor Hale felt this matter had already been dealt with at great length and will continue with the present out- lines.
