AUGUST 22, I973 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE I5 BRIDE-ELECT HONOURED AT COMMUNITY SHOWER A come and go shower was held August IOth in St. Johns Anglican Church honouring Miss Debbie Lidkea, bride-elect of August 25th. Receiving with the bride were her mother, Mrs. Eileen Lidkea, Mrs. Jim Mikus, and Mrs. T. Latour stood in for Mrs. Inga Schmeidchen who was unable to attend. Dining Room hostess was the bride's sister Mrs. Earl Welbourne. Servitors were Joyce Cluet, Jane Duggan, Sharon Scott, Jane Davis, Debbie Cook, Melanie Ross and Susan Johnson. Attending the guest book were the bride's niece Julie Welbourne and Cheryl-Lynn Johnson. The gift table was attended to by Mrs. Barry Harper and Mrs. Cosimo Commisso. Tea pourers for the evening were Mrs. Maybelle Furlonger, Mrs. Tony Zborowski and Mrs. Peter Barz. Kitchen work- ers were Mesdames William Paradis, Ivan John- son, George Walsh and Miss Jewel Paradis. THE DAVE DESROSIERS ADULT-JUNIOR TOURNAMENT The tournament was played August I3th at 5 o'clock with 26 playing. The weather was cloudy with periodic rain showers. Congratulations go to Bill and Terry Hanley who defended their title again this year, scor -ing a 33. Runners-up were C. Pellegrino and David Bajkiewicz shooting a 36. Low gross winners were R. Hansen and Mike Gerlach with a 42 and runners-up were T. Desaulniers and Steve Chapman scoring a 45. A special prize was made for the most hon- est golfers (highest score) C. Koski and Ted Coupal. Some adults required roller skates to keep Up to the Juniors - especially one group who played in one hour and sixteen minutes. Clinic open to club members and non-members Register at the Golf Club. ; SHOWER HONOURS BRIDE-ELECT Miss Linda Walker, bride-elect of August 25th was honoured at a community shower held recently when Mrs. Frank Walker, her mother, Miss Margot Books and Mrs. Hubert Weaver re- ceived with her. The table servitors were Mrs. Vi Bottomley, Mrs. Ralph Morrill, Mrs. Cora Dunwoody, Mrs. Lilyan Christie, Donna and Gail Bottomley. Miss Irene Spicer, Mrs. Russell Macadam, Mrs. Alvin Slater and Mrs. Cyril Sparkes re- plenished. Mrs. Danny Godin and Miss Myrna McCuaig opened the gifts and Lynn Phillips attended the guest book.
