AUGUST 22, I973 TERRACE BAY NEWS SCHREIBER RECREATION NEWS The graduates of the Environmental Awareness >rogramme in Schreiber wish to run a short cou- rse for younger children and teach them the skills they've learned this summer. This experimental programme will include ~anoeing, firebuilding, shelter-making, games, simple orienteering, plant identification. It is open to children 9-II and will run from 9:00 to 3:00 on Monday and Tuesday at thitesand Lake. Wednesday and Thursday will be an overnight trip to the north end of White- sand Lake. Children will need a towel and bathing suit, a lunch and rough clothing. We have all the other necessary equipment.
