AUGUST 22, I973 TERRACE BAY NEWS SCHREIBER RECREATION NEWS The graduates of the Environmental Awareness >rogramme in Schreiber wish to run a short cou- rse for younger children and teach them the skills they've learned this summer. This experimental programme will include ~anoeing, firebuilding, shelter-making, games, simple orienteering, plant identification. It is open to children 9-II and will run from 9:00 to 3:00 on Monday and Tuesday at thitesand Lake. Wednesday and Thursday will be an overnight trip to the north end of White- sand Lake. Children will need a towel and bathing suit, a lunch and rough clothing. We have all the other necessary equipment. If you want your children to join, please call 825-3298 or register at the Schreiber Rec- reation Office before Friday at 3:00 p.m. RECEPTION HONOURS COUPLE Pat Duggan and his bride, the former Michel- le Gorges, of Manitouwadge, were honoured by Pat's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Con Duggan, at a reception held in the home of his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Robert Winters. Mr. and Mrs. Duggan Sr. and the bride's par- ents, Mr. and Mrs. John Gorges received with the bride and groom. Tea was poured by Mesdames Gus Krause, Jack Winters, Robert Winters and Harry Welbourne.
