LADIES GOLF NEWS First off, a hearty congratulations to that Young man, Ken Hanley on winning the men's open this past weekend. No one is more deserving Ken, what with your never ending work on the course and the happy encouraging smile that go- es out to everyone that comes out to enjoy your efforts. Also a word for a hard working Ray Hansen, who made such a congenial host as tournament chairman. Let us just say Ray "A job well done" and also that it was a pleasure helping you in our small duties. Just a reminder girls, our ladies open is being held this coming weekend, Sunday, August 4th. We would like to see more club members names entered on the list in the club rooms or handed to J. Hall. Don't worry about that 36 handi-cap girls, just come out and enjoy your- selves with our guests. My name is on that list, and I doubt if I will ever get lower than a 36, but I would love the pleasure of outdriv- ing Ann Lushney just once. But with clearing skies around tee off time the girls were all there just itching to get their feet wet, which they did. P. Wellings won low net with Tara Greenwood runner up; low hole J. Gunter and high hole I. Roman- uk (Darn those trees and rocks on No. 6, how Could anyone hit them all). SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. GLADYS WALLWIN Mrs. Gladys Wallwin age 50, wife of Mr. R.E.
